As part of its initial implementation phase, the ENDURANCE Project has organised its first round of national workshops in late 2024. These events have played a crucial role in facilitating dialogue among key stakeholders and gathering insights to inform future project activities.
Slovenia – 27 November 2024
The first workshop took place in Ljubljana, Slovenia, hosted by the Institute for Corporative Security Studies (ICS) and ELES. The event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders to address existing security challenges in the energy and transport sectors. Participants engaged in discussions around flexibility, interoperability, and the development of adaptive solutions for infrastructure protection.
Italy – 28 November 2024
The Italian workshop was co-organised by Insiel and the Regione Autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia. It gathered 18 participants representing regional administration, ICT service providers, and business continuity planners. The sessions focused on how digitalisation and administrative resilience intersect, particularly in the face of growing cyber threats and systemic vulnerabilities.
Romania – 17 December 2024
Held at the Romanian National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC) headquarters in Bucharest, this workshop highlighted best practices in cyber resilience. Participants included representatives from the Ministry of Health, emergency services, and other national authorities. The focus was on aligning national strategies with EU frameworks and ensuring robust incident response mechanisms.
Greece – 19 December 2024
The final workshop of this round was held in Athens, hosted by SYNELIXIS, with remote participants joining from across the country. The event addressed risk management in the context of drinking water and wastewater systems, highlighting sector interdependencies and stakeholder coordination. Structured around four thematic panels, the workshop was aligned with the upcoming implementation of the CER Directive.
All workshops contributed valuable insights into national resilience needs and paved the way for future cross-border collaboration. Stakeholders interested in engaging further are encouraged to join the ENDURANCE Working Group: https://endurance-horizon.eu/project-working-group/
