On 30 April 2025, the ENDURANCE project was presented at the 3rd ECSCI Workshop on Critical Infrastructure Protection and Resilience, held in Bilbao, Spain and online. The workshop brought together key European initiatives to discuss emerging threats and innovative approaches to safeguarding critical infrastructures (CIs) across multiple sectors.
As modern CIs grow increasingly complex, interconnected and exposed to both cyber and physical risks, the need for integrated security strategies is more urgent than ever. The ECSCI Cluster and Worskhop serve as a platform for leading experts, policymakers and EU-funded projects to exchange knowledge, showcase developments, and explore solutions for improving infrastructure resilience.
During the workshop, ENDURANCE was featured in Session 1 of Day 2, where Liana-Miruna Predut (EVIDEN Romania), the Project Coordinator, presented its comprehensive approach to enhancing disruption resilience and cooperation among CI stakeholders across Europe. With its focus on the practical implementation of the CER and NIS2 Directives, ENDURANCE aims to bridge existing gaps in preparedness and continuity by supporting authorities and operators through trusted data ecosystems, advanced risk modelling, federated analysis, and real-world training and stress testing.

The presentation highlighted the project’s multi-layered piloting structure – including MICRO, MESO and MACRO pilots – designed to address resilience challenges at regional, national and pan-European levels. The ENDURANCE distributed framework, combining data space, digital twins, threat intelligence and cross-sector coordination, was also showcased as a cornerstone of the project’s strategy.
Beyond the technical contributions, ENDURANCE underlined its commitment to inclusive and ethically grounded innovation, with dedicated efforts in social sciences, stakeholder engagement, and dissemination.
Participants were also invited to join the ENDURANCE Working Group on Disruption Resilience, an expert forum to exchange best practices and contribute to shaping future strategies for CI resilience across Europe.
