First ENDURANCE Plenary Meeting – Rome, Italy (27-28 May 2025)

The ENDURANCE consortium marked a major milestone with its first plenary meeting, held on 27 and 28 May 2025 in Rome at the Roma Eventi Fontana di Trevi, hosted by Insiel. This two-day hybrid gathering brought together project partners from across Europe for a focused exchange of progress, planning, and innovation as part of our Horizon Europe-funded mission to strengthen Europe’s resilience to disruption.

The meeting featured a comprehensive agenda, offering detailed insights into the work carried out so far, challenges encountered, and the next steps across the project’s work packages.

Highlights from the Plenary Sessions

With more than twenty presentations across the two days, the plenary demonstrated strong coordination among partners and a shared commitment to deliver impactful results. Across the two-day meeting, discussions focused on technical progress, strategic alignment, and collaborative planning. Participants explored the evolving requirements and data needs of the project, alongside early developments in the system architecture. Significant attention was given to the creation of the Digital Twin and Resilience Model, as well as the design of a trusted data space and related data models.

There were also updates on training services and interactive dashboards, with a focus on tools to support awareness-raising and skills development. The consortium reviewed progress on pilot planning, including detailed use case definitions and initial test design strategies.

Project management sessions addressed upcoming milestones. Communication, dissemination, exploitation, and intellectual property management were also on the agenda, ensuring alignment on how project results will be shared and sustained. Finally, partners discussed the coordination of future activities, confirming plans for upcoming meetings and in-person events.

Looking Ahead

This first plenary not only allowed for deep technical alignment but also reinforced the consortium’s collective vision: to deliver robust digital solutions that enhance civil resilience and security across the European Union.

The insights, progress, and strategic direction established in Rome lay the groundwork for the coming phases of the ENDURANCE project. We are excited to build on this momentum and continue driving forward innovation, resilience, and preparedness in the face of disruption.
