Information relating to the processing of personal data in the course of ENDURANCE piloting activities
As part of the ENDURANCE project, pilot activities will be carried out to develop and improve tools that support resilience in EU Member States. This work requires project partners to exchange data, which will mostly be operational in nature (for example, sensor data and situational information).
Whenever possible, ENDURANCE partners will anonymise any personal data contained in the shared information. However, some personal data may still be processed in limited cases, (when possible in pseudonymised form) – for instance contact details of responsible persons or emergency services, and, to a marginal extent, personal data that may appear in datasets used to train AI models.
Each ENDURANCE partner is responsible for the processing activities it performs within its own operations. To exercise your rights or obtain information, you may contact the partner that collected your personal data if this is known to you (e.g. your employer, or the public authority/institution carrying out tasks in the public interest in your country). You may also contact the ENDURANCE project coordinator, EVIDEN TECHNOLOGIES SRL, at the email address liana-miruna.predut@eviden.com (Project Manager) to be directed to the relevant data controller and to receive further information about the applicable processing activities.
In specific situations where processing purposes are inextricably linked between partners, personal data may be processed jointly by the partners concerned. In such cases, ENDURANCE partners allocate their respective responsibilities internally in line with the Grant Agreement signed with the European Commission. In essence:
- Partners qualifying as “critical entities” under EU law, as well as partners acting as national authorities, may process data for the purpose of testing the tools and providing feedback aimed at further enriching and improving such tools.
- Technical partners and other supporting partners may process data for the purpose of training AI models related to the detection of, and response to, threats and incidents, as well as for developing and improving risk-assessment methodologies relevant to end users.
In all cases, you may contact the ENDURANCE project coordinator, EVIDEN TECHNOLOGIES SRL, at the email address liana-miruna.predut@eviden.com (Project Manager) for further information. You may also consult https://eviden.com/privacy-policy/ which describes (how to exercise) your data protection rights and provides contact details of the Data Protection Officer (DPO).
